Karen recently provided us with some training for our line managers, our aim was to provide our line managers with an understanding of their requirements under our Disciplinary procedures, making sure they were aware of their obligations as managers. The training was also an opportunity to make sure that they were being consistent in the way they approached any situations across the company, as well as developing their own skills as managers. Karen’s approach was to deliver training that provided sound advice backed up with practical examples.

I approached Karen Williams about “Motivational Maps” as I was intrigued about understanding my own motivations and I felt it would benefit me greatly. We then included one of my team that I manage and work with closely. After completing a short questionnaire Karen came in and sat down with myself and my colleague to go through what the report meant and how we could use the output from it to benefit our working relationship. The whole process was a real eye opener about how closely you can work with someone but be managing them the way that motivates you not them. We have since put together development plans to support the output from the report and our key motivators with now having a better understanding of what motivates us to come to work in the morning.
